Xian and Becky Mackintosh

Xian Mackintosh (he/him) holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from BYU-Hawaii and a master’s degree in mental health social work from the University of Hawaii. As the third of seven children, Xian values, strong family connections and has played a key role in promoting understanding and unity within his family, following his coming out journey. He is the founder of High Mountain Frenchies, LLC, and is an experienced beekeeper with a deep love of anything outdoors.

Becky Mackintosh (she/her) is a mother of seven and ever-growing number of grandchildren. When her son Xian came out as gay, Becky embarked on a deeply personal journey—one that led her to become a compassionate voice for faith-based families navigating the intersection of love, belief, and identity. She is the author of Love Boldly: Embracing Your LGBTQ Loved One and Your Faith, and her family’s story, featured in a video produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has reached over 1.5 million viewers. She continues to grow older (and wiser) alongside her husband, Scott in Lehi, Utah.
